human health care
What is hhc?
hhc human health care is our goal. We give our first thoughts to patients and their families and helping to increase the benefits health care provides.
Eisai philosophy is based on the improvement of human health care (hhc), considering that patients as well as their families and consumers are the key players in healthcare, we seek to have a sense of pride in providing benefits to such persons. This philosophy is summarized by the term âhhc.â
In this way, we look for and produce innovative solutions – specialty products – that can help satisfy unmet medical needs and contribute to the health and wellbeing of people worldwide working to achieve this goal independently or in collaboration with other companies. The hhc mission governs the way we do business – the research we do, the products we develop, the way we train our employees and the allocation of our financial resources.
Understanding and internalizing these patient-focused concepts has grown with time, and our employees will attest to the fact that our commitment to our mission, vision and values is a point of true differentiation for Eisai. We believe that in order to truly consider the perspectives of patients and their families, it is important for each employee to first get close to patients and see the situation through their eyes to learn to pick up on experiences, thoughts, feelings and needs that might not necessarily always be expressed in words. It is this concept that is the starting point for all of Eisai’s corporate activities. In order for Eisai to realize its hhc philosophy, each employee participates in activities based on knowledge creation theory and works to realize innovation which will satisfy patients’ needs by putting in creative efforts at each instant of work. For this in Eisai we spend 1% of our working hours in know the reality of patients.
Our corporate philosophy is understood and internalized by each employee within the Group. This understanding is then shared and implemented in the daily business activities of all Eisai employees, and serves to effectively transcend nationalities, national borders, and gender and age.
We fulfill our obligation to society by considering the perspectives of patients, their families and the global community overall, developing a response to their needs, verifying the social benefits of this response, and finally by making this response available to the world before anyone else.
This is the hhc (human health care)Â mission that Eisai aims to realize.
The hhc Philosophy combines inspiration from the life and dedication of Florence Nightingale (1820-1910), who made enormous contributions to the development of the nursing profession and public health, with our own Eisai hhc philosophy. As such, the script for the logo is modeled on the signature of this prominent figure, who we regard as having played an immense role in the history of modern-day nursing.
